The 9.6 mile expansion from SH 121 to US 380 is on schedule, despite the many rains. According to the NTTA recent project update, more than 80% of the roadway construction is complete and toll plaza construction is over 50% complete. Current estimated opening of the entire expansion from US 380 southward to downtown Dallas is September, 2007.

With the anticipated opening, there has been a flurry of commercial property activity along the 380 corridor. There are plans for a much-needed supermarket as well as addition retail shops and services.
