Savannah Elementary School Dedication Ceremony
Savannah

The Savannah Elementary School opened in August with the beginning of the school year, providing the children of Savannah with a convenient neighborhood school.

The school held its official Dedication Ceremonies on November 2nd. In attendance were Dr. Ray Braswell, Superintendent of Denton ISD and Dr. Curtis Ramsey, Trustee of the Denton ISD Board. Also in attendance were representatives of Charter Builders, Ltd., the company that built the school- Terry Hoyle (Vice President), Charles DeVoe (President), Justin Dunkin (Engineer) and Bill Watson (Project Superintendent). Land was donated for the school by Huffines Communities™.

The ceremonies included a performance by the Savannah Elementary Choir, during which they introduced their school song, sung to the tune of "Stand By Me". The school mascot is the Gator- and all the students surely showed "gator-ific" pride!
