Denton ISD
Denton's elementary schools offer an integrated curriculum of language arts, math, science, and social studies, complemented by music, art, and physical education. Gifted education, pre-kindergarten, Title One, dyslexia therapy, and a wide variety of counseling and special education services are also available.
In middle school, teachers are grouped into core teams (English, Science, Math, and Social Studies) to work with the same "family" of students each day. Electives include athletics, fine arts, and exploratory career and technical courses.
High school students may graduate with Regular, Advanced, or Advanced with Honors transcripts. A wide range of optional activities are available to students, including academic, athletic, performing, and vocational opportunities.
