Water and Wastewater Services

The District purchases its treated drinking water from the Upper Trinity Regional Water Authority, which also provides water to 32 cities. Upper Trinity has the only treatment facility in the State of Texas that uses both charcoal and osmosis to enhance the purity of the water. Please see their website www.utrwd.com.

The waste water (sewage) from Savannah is piped to a brand new ultra modern treatment plant which is also operated and maintained by Upper Trinity.

Water Services

The retail provider of water service in the southeastern Denton County area is "Mustang Special Utility District", and because Mustang is already reading meters and maintaining water lines in the Savannah area, the District deemed it economical to hire Mustang to operate and maintain the District's water and sewer lines, including reading the meters and billing.
